Orée launches the ELIPSE repository for assessing the performance of industrial and territorial ecology

On Wednesday 14 December in Paris, Orée launched the first national repository for the assessment and monitoring of industrial and territorial ecology

The ELIPSE repository is a strategic management tool for all ITE project leaders It also allows initiatives to be monitored for those who support them.

This Internet platform is the culmination of a project coordinated by Orée with support from ADEME and the General Commission on Sustainable Development (Commissariat Général au Développement Durable), in partnership with researchers (Université de Lyon, l'Université de Technologies de Troyes and l'Université de Grenoble) and experts in the field (Auxilia, EcoRes and Inddigo). These partners have been keen to develop a tool that is innovative in its methodology for joint construction with people in ITE and in its technical content incorporating major sustainability and collective assessment issues.

Its questionnaire, composed of 61 indicators, structured into three main sections (multi-stakeholder cooperation/looping flows/local wealth) is intended as a support for dialogue between those involved in the region. In addition to including systems-based approach to environmental impacts, assessment of wealth creation for the region (financial benefits and social impacts such as job creation) and of how they share the region, the ELIPSE repository attaches great importance to the dynamics of those who create these approaches and to the means of implementing and sustaining them.
